Hill Top Cottage, Grassington
Self-catering accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales.



Our pretty 17th century cottage, accommodating up to 4 people in 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 small double and 1 single), is perfectly situated in a peaceful location just a few minutes stroll from the cobbled centre of Grassington in the heart of Wharfedale with all its shops, restaurants and pubs. It also has the benefit of parking for 1 car.

Hill Top Cottage has been completely renovated throughout, yet still retains its charm and character with many original features.

The lounge has exposed beams and a stone fireplace with a Broseley electric stove. The master bedroom also has exposed beams, with pine flooring and a medieval style bed. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and has a dining area for 4 people.  

Our cottage is warm and cosy in the winter, and guests can enjoy panoramic views and alfresco dining on the sunny south facing patio in the summer.

It certainly offers a superb retreat in which to relax and unwind.

 

Our Story........

We have lived in Derbyshire for many years, but we have always loved Grassington and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and have been visiting the village since our children were young.  An opportunity arose to purchase Hill Top Cottage in December 2016 (all from being in the right place at the right time) and we were overjoyed to become its new owners.

Now we adore bringing our grandchildren to Grassington to make even more precious memories.

We found Grassington to be a vibrant, idyllic village which offers everything any visitor could wish for.

Hill Top is set high up overlooking the village and is cosy and immaculately presented. The owners had kindly left us a bottle of wine as well as all the essentials for a short break such as tea, milk and chocolates.

Handily, there were plenty of guides in the cottage about the village and surrounding areas, as well as bus timetables, weather forecasts and a selection of music and DVDs for those cosy nights in. We were also delighted to find the cottage had a spacious drive.

The cottage has everything you could want, so pretty and cosy.  We've been on many walks down to Linton Falls and along the River Wharfe to Burnsall and beyond. We never tire of coming here, Grassington and the surrounding area has a magical quality, and Hill Top Cottage is the perfect place to stay.
